Washington Conservation Commission
Minutes
– February 7, 2011
Assembly time: 8:00 AM.
Present: Carol Andrews, Sandy Robinson, Nan Schwartz, and Jed Schwartz
Carol called the meeting
to order at 8 AM.
We discussed the purpose of the meeting, which was to discuss and vote to approve the expending of up to $40,000 of the money in our conservation fund, which includes our funds and donations given toward the Eccardt Farm easement project. Several people couldn't make the meeting but let us know they were in favor of the vote. We had a quorum and proceeded with the meeting.
Sandy
made a motion to spend up to $40,000 of the money in our conservation fund for
the Eccardt Farm Conservation Easement project closing. She added that we will
also agree to hold
a secondary interest in the easement. Jed seconded the motion, all voted in
favor.
Carol suggested that in the materials given to LCHIP for the closing, we should cite the Selectmen's minutes of November 5th, where Sandy Robinson and Nan Schwartz provided a letter to the Board of Selectmen requesting that the Selectmen motion to approve the Washington Conservation Commission holding a secondary Executory Interest in the "Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forest" Conservation Easement on the 135-acre Eccardt Farm Property, subject to full funding of the project. Eaton motioned to approve the request, Marshall seconded the motion, all voted in favor.
We
discussed the list of due diligence items requested by LCHIP. We have most of
the items ready and in hand. Sandy is going in to Concord later in the day to
see Brian Hotz and get additional items from him and then go over to the LCHIP
office to give them to Aaron Ferraro to get the process moving toward the
closing.
The meeting
was adjourned at 8:20 AM.
Respectfully submitted,
Nan Schwartz
Secretary
