Minutes- April 26, 2005
1.0 Assembly: Time 7:00 p.m.
Present: Carol Andrews, Marvin Jager, Mark Cummings.
2.0 Approval of Minutes: approved as printed.
3.0 Old Business:
3.1 Dredge and Fill Committee- no activity.
3.2 Planning Board update- Carol reported that she talked with Jack about the NRI. They did not have a quorum at their last meeting, but he feels that the Conservation Commission should work on the NRI.

3.4 TOWN MEETING VOTERS APPROVE
$23 MILLION FOR CONSERVATION:
26 communities support spending to protect important lands and resources.
3.5 Carol reported on the Center for Land Conservation Assistance Conference.
3.6 LCHIP update- amendment to increase funding to $10 million was defeated by just 2 votes.
3.7 Mark asked whether anyone had information about Dutch Elm Disease and a new application to arrest the disease.

5.1 The group decided that we should sponsor an informal gathering to discuss conservation easements. Mark is willing to cook some hot dogs and hamburgers if someone is willing to volunteer their home.

He reports that in 2004 District 4 Groups cleaned 330 miles of road, collected 3166 bags of litter and volunteered 331 hours of time.
