Washington Energy Committee Minutes

Present: Bob Fraser, Al Krygeris and Johanna Young

 

• The minutes were approved as written.

 

• Old business: discussed the Town Meeting and issues brought up during the discussion about approving funds for an alternative energy heating source for the Town Garage. Al said at one point the TG had considered solar for the transfer station, but that would have been too costly to put the wires in.

 

• Bob reports he has already tentatively put Nov. 12 or 24^th on the calendar for a Button-up workshop.

 

• Johanna reported that she had put in information about Town Meeting an alternative energy in the latest Local Energy Committee newsletter.

 

• Upcoming LEC annual conference: Bob will carpool with Al to the conference.

 

• Bob left early due to illness.

 

• Al reported on the energy audit recommendations for the school. An exchange unit needs fixing to reduce noise. It doesn’t need replacing (replacing would cost $17,000).

 

• There being no new business, meeting was adjourned.
