Washington Energy Committee

May 12, 2011

Minutes

Present: Johanna Young , Lindley Rankine, Bob Fraser, Al Krygeris

Minutes approved by consensus

Old Business: Al gave an update on solar project at TG: all that is left to be done is installation of guy wire to support the pole that had to be installed to stabilize said pole. The state has inspected the entire solar installation and approved it for operation. PSNH will inspect next and then the switch can be pulled so the panels can start generating power to the Town Garage.

Bob reported he is still waiting on his residential weatherization project.

Al will contact Michael McCroy about coming to out next meeting. Planning committee members and Conservation Commission may also be interested in attending.

Bob noted that the Windmill tour in Lempster is open to anyone in the town at this point. The tour will be on June 13. 25 students from Washington Elementary, plus chaperones will also be coming. Attendance is free.

New Business: there was some discussion about the new community garden and a possible issue with getting water to the garden.

There being no new business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.

Respectfully submitted by,

Johanna Young, Energy Committee Chair
