MINUTES WASHINGTON ENERGY COMMMITTEE

JULY 8, 2010

PRESENT: Johanna Young, Bob Fraser, Al Krygeris

Ø June Minutes Approved as written.

Ø Report on Conference: www.myenergyplan.net is a great website for finding lots of tools for information on energy conservation and if residents need to find a vendor for energy efficiency upgrades to residents and for new builders. Johanna will have Nan put it on the town website. Johanna and Al showed Bob the rest of the information we gathered at the conference, which we will bring for the energy committee table at Old Home Day.

Ø Al wrote a letter earlier this year requesting that Washington be considered for a Button-Up presentation (presentation on making homes more energy efficient). He hasn't heard if we have been chosen.

Ø Carbon Coalition wants all towns who have data on Portfolio Manager to migrate the data to a new program. All will get the authorization signed by the select board.

Ø Bob's son is now licensed to install solar panels (the electric part!)

Ø Al has been dealing with several companies about putting solar panels outside. TRC says we will have to do a RFP.

Ø Old Home Day: – Bob is available in the morning, but not afternoon. Al and Johanna will make separate solar demos for the booth.
