- Minutes
for August were approved.
- Welcomed
Melissa Cole to committee and we invited her to consider joining as a
member.
- Al: Corey, the intern, will calculate our Co2
emissions for the town and get back to us.
- According
to Al someone in the state will be paying for audits for all schools. Al
says the Washington Elementary School has some issues with a leaking roof.
- We
need to get an energy audit for the town, which would serve as a baseline
for any work we would like to have done to make the buildings more
efficient
- Melissa: Applications for stimulus monies for energy
conservation projects are still being developed and we will need to be
ready to apply.
- NESEA
auditors do residential and not commercial audits – cost of an audit
can range from $2,500-5,000. Melissa has been gathering info from the
Office of Energy and Planning (OEP)
- Met
with selectman to discuss application received by mail from Cool
Planet/Cool Energy for (NH Municipal Energy Assistance Program) to assist
with getting an audit completed. Melissa reported on the outcome of her
research re: the upcoming grants. The selectmen signed the MEAP application.
Melissa will call to see if we can get a free audit estimate of the town
buildings.
- According
to the inventory, Al and Bob did the police station is using a lot of
energy. Apparently, they use an electric heater in the winter.
- Next
green movie night was put off until later this fall.
