Washington Energy
Committee Minutes
November 2009
Present: Johanna Young, Lindley Rankine, Al Krygeris
Draft of Minutes were approved as written
- It was brought to the Chair's attention by Al that the Chair of the Washington Energy Commission felt we should clarify how new members are appointed to the WEC with the board of selectmen. Johanna will follow up with Carol Andrews and Select Board
- Al
reported that he had submitted bills of the building for the inventory for
the NH Municipal Energy Assistance Program (MEAP). Liz Canal, the contact
at MEAP who is working with the committee also wanted to know the hours of
operation of each building. Al noted that buildings are set at 55 F after
working hours. Liz is working on the analysis and will have it ready in a
couple of weeks.
- Al
suggested that NH MEAP talk to the planning board about including an
energy policy in the master plan, since as far as we know there currently
is no policy in the master plan. Johanna will mention it at the next
Washington Conservation Commission meeting at which planning board members
are present.
- Al
said we should list our accomplishments so far in a report for the town
meeting.
- The
Committee agreed we should thank Bob Frazer for his service to the
committee. Bob has had to resign from the Committee.
- If we
have a large Committee we could take on more tasks. Maybe at Town meeting
we could interest more people in joining.
- An
upcoming movie night will take place at the Washington Congregational
Church on Nov. 16, Al will
mention something about his solar panels. The movie will be on Solar Energy.
Respectfully submitted by,
Johanna Young, Washington Energy Committee Chair
