Conservation Commission – Land Protection Committee

Attending: Carol Andrews, Sandy Robinson, Jed Schwartz, Nan Schwartz

We discussed the process when the town takes a property for taxes. Do they do a title search or look for liens. They should probably get title insurance, especially if the property is one they might hang on to (town forests).

We discussed the Farnsworth Hill possible project. Sandy mentioned the possibility of trying to find a conservation buyer. We discussed. So far Brighton’s are taking the lead and moving things forward. John may speak at the MLA annual meeting. Tyler Libby is the president of the MLA and may give him time to speak. Nan had some maps she made that could be helpful in talking about a possible project to the Millen Lake people. We picked the best one and she will print more and pass them on to John.
